The Slot Math Working Papers — *a working-paper series on slot-machine probability, casino-game mathematics, and the regulatory frameworks that govern RNG compliance*.

The casino-gaming product literature is substantially operator-facing or player-facing. The audience that the underlying probability mathematics and the regulatory frameworks that govern testing and certification are actually relevant to — compliance professionals, regulatory analysts, gaming-mathematics researchers — has very little serious working-paper output written for it. This series is an attempt to write what an applied-probability research institute would write about slot-machine mathematics and casino-game probability if the working-paper output were directed at that analytical readership.

The papers cover RTP (return-to-player) mathematics, hit-frequency distributions, variance and volatility quantification, the Markov-chain models that underlie modern slot designs, the testing and certification frameworks across the major regulatory jurisdictions, and the compliance-audit methodologies that the gaming-supervisory infrastructure relies on. The treatment is rigorous-research rather than promotional-or-player-tip-focused. The aim is to produce a working-paper series that compliance professionals and gaming-mathematics researchers can engage with substantively.
